Matsugorô Sawamura était un joueur de shamisen au talent légendaire. À sa mort, son petit-fils, Setsu Sawamura, a perdu sa capacité à jouer. Ne parvenant pas à retrouver le rythme et la mélodie qu'il aimait, Setsu se rend à Tokyo à la recherche d'une nouvelle inspiration. Yuna Tachimura l’invite à rejoindre le club de shamisen de son lycée afin de poursuivre son entraînement. Toujours à la recherche du son qui fera vibrer son âme, Setsu imprègne sa musique de ses sentiments...
